(HTV) – A scientific seminar co-organized by the Center for Science and Technology Infrastructure Exploitation and Service Development (CSID) and NANO NSG in Ho Chi Minh City introduced groundbreaking applications of nanotechnology in high-tech agriculture. These solutions contribute to improving productivity, ensuring value chain transparency, and moving toward sustainable development.

On the morning of April 11, in Ho Chi Minh City, CSID collaborated with NANO NSG Solutions Joint Stock Company to hold a seminar titled “Nano Solutions for Green Agriculture – Creating Value for the Future.” The event drew the participation of scientists, experts, businesses, and representatives from farms and cooperatives across the Southern region.

In the context of agriculture facing challenges such as climate change, the pressure to improve productivity and quality, and the requirement for sustainable growth, the seminar was organized to introduce practical nanotechnology solutions. It also aimed to foster connections between the scientific community and businesses to enhance the value of agricultural production.

During the opening speech, Mr. Huynh Van Tung (MSc) – Director of CSID, emphasized the role of nanotechnology in opening new approaches for high-tech agriculture. These technologies help optimize farming efficiency and increase product value, providing a foundation for building a green and sustainable agricultural ecosystem in the future.

At the seminar, experts presented in-depth insights into the application of nanotechnology in production. Dr. Pham Thi Hong Phuong – Lecturer at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City and Head of the ECOTECHFEST Vietnam community, provided an overview of nanotechnology and its potential in high-tech agriculture, setting the stage for further specialized topics.

Notably, the presentation by Engineer Ngo Van Hai – R&D Director of NANO NSG, clarified the effectiveness of Nano TiO₂ in enhancing photosynthesis and crop yields. According to the report, this solution helps plants utilize light more efficiently, improves adaptability to adverse conditions, and supports growth processes.
Besides technical factors, the seminar also touched upon management and commercialization. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung – an Intellectual Property expert from CSID, discussed turning nanotechnology into valuable assets for farm operations. Meanwhile, Mr. Pham Van Quân – Director of Checkee Technology JSC, presented traceability solutions for nano-products in high-tech agriculture to improve transparency and market trust.

From a business perspective, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long – Business Development Director of NANO NSG, introduced nano-products currently being applied in production and moderated a session sharing experiences from customers who have directly tested and implemented these solutions.

The program also included a Q&A and consultancy session, allowing delegates to discuss directly with experts about the mechanisms of Nano TiO₂, application efficiency on specific crop groups, implementation processes, and future cooperation opportunities.

The seminar, scaled for approximately 25 guests, focused on scientists, farm owners, and cooperatives in the South, aiming to transfer solutions, build a customer ecosystem, and promote specific partnership opportunities.

Closing the program, the Organizing Committee opened a registration for trials and partnership networking, creating conditions for units to work directly with solution providers to promote the effective and sustainable application of nanotechnology in agriculture.
