On August 22, 2024, the Investment and Startup Promotion Center collaborated with the People’s Committee of Chau Thanh District to organize a training course on tax and contract law for businesses, cooperatives, and business households in the area. The training course was honored to have the participation of Lawyer Do Dang Hong Tam and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, Deputy General Director of Viet Startup Incubator Joint Stock Company.
At the training session, the experts shared information on the main types of taxes that businesses and individuals need to grasp, including value-added tax (VAT), corporate income tax, personal income tax, and excise tax. They also updated participants on changes in tax policies and newly applied tax incentives. The experts further elaborated on the obligations of tax declaration and payment as prescribed by law, as well as the basic principles in drafting and executing contracts, including important terms and conditions. They guided participants on how to draft contract clauses to ensure the rights and obligations of the parties involved. Additionally, the training session provided detailed explanations of legal obligations regarding tax declaration and payment, and presented methods for resolving contract disputes, including negotiation, mediation, and litigation, to help parties achieve reasonable and effective solutions.
Training on tax and contract law is a practical activity aimed at enhancing management capacity and ensuring legal compliance in business operations. Understanding and correctly applying legal regulations not only helps organizations and individuals avoid legal risks but also contributes to improving operational efficiency and sustainable development of businesses and cooperatives in the near future for businesses in Chau Thanh District in particular and the province in general.
